Course Overview:
Our In-House FLT Instructor Training course is delivered exclusively on-site at your premises and is designed for companies wanting to train and authorise their own in-house instructors.
This is a one-week course which allows successful candidates to deliver internal operator training for your own staff at your site only.
Training is tailored to your operational environment and can be delivered on the truck type most relevant to your business, with Counterbalance typically being the most popular option.
The course combines both theoretical knowledge and practical instruction techniques, ensuring candidates understand not only how to operate equipment safely, but also how to effectively teach and assess others.
Successful candidates will be authorised to train operators on any truck type for which they currently hold a valid operator certificate.
Candidate Requirements
Candidates must:
- Hold a current operator certificate
- Have passed a full operator test within the last 6 months
- Have achieved the test with fewer than half the maximum allowable penalty points (maximum 20 points)
- Have suitable operational experience on the relevant truck type
Refresher Training Prior to Instructor Course
If required, SID Training can provide a one-day refresher course prior to the instructor programme.
This is commonly recommended where previous refresher training was completed in-house rather than through a fully accredited scheme.
Refresher training is available on Counterbalance or another relevant truck type.
