The ITSSAR-accredited Industrial Telescopic Lift Truck Training course (J Group) delivered by SID Training is provided exclusively on-site at your premises, allowing operators to train using your own equipment within a real working environment.
This training covers industrial telescopic lift trucks, including J5 category machines, commonly used within industrial yards, warehouse environments, and heavy-duty material handling operations where extended reach capability is required.
Industrial telescopic lift trucks are designed to lift and place loads at height and reach distances beyond that of conventional forklifts. Due to the increased reach and lifting capability, operators must have a strong understanding of load stability, machine limitations, and safe operating procedures.
The course combines both theoretical knowledge and practical training to ensure operators understand workplace responsibilities, safe operating techniques, and how to minimise risks when handling loads at height or extended reach distances.
Particular emphasis is placed on boom positioning, safe load placement, maintaining stability during lifting operations, and understanding how load centres and reach distances affect machine performance. Operators will also learn how to work safely around pedestrians, structures, vehicles, and other workplace hazards.
Pre-use inspections are covered in detail, ensuring operators can identify faults and carry out essential safety checks before operating the equipment.
Training is delivered on the specific type of industrial telescopic lift truck used on your site, and certification will reflect the category of equipment the operator has been trained on.
Upon successful completion, delegates will receive an ITSSAR-accredited Certificate of Training, recognised across the UK and within industrial and material handling sectors.
Throughout the course, delegates will develop a strong understanding of:
All candidates will complete both a theoretical test and a practical skills assessment at the end of the course. Upon successful completion, delegates will receive an ITSSAR-accredited Certificate of Training, recognised across the UK and widely accepted within industry.
At SID Training, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, compliant, and engaging training that puts safety first.
Our goal is to ensure every operator leaves fully competent, confident, and ready to work safely.
Our students have an excellent pass rate on their tests, thanks to our experienced instructors and comprehensive forklift education.
